Second Team Arrives

Team 2 arrived yesterday–board member/Bad Monkeys director/teacher Katherine Berry; Julia Leitman, who came to Uganda 10 years ago as a middle-schooler; Sebastian Ruggiero, in Uganda for the first time; and Melissa McGill, Terry’s wife, here for the 8th time. We brought photo items to three schools, including Ntawo, which is partnered with Katherine’s school, Fernwood. Katherine loved the drumming and dancing. She even got a drumming lesson from a drum master at Ntawo.

The container is still held up, so we’ll head to Kampala on Wednesday to visit the Kampala School for the Physically Handicapped (KSPH), where Melissa will be teaching all week. We’ll buy tie-dyed fabric and ceramic beads for the auction at KSPH, then head to the Ugandan Craft Market for more auction items.
