Sister Schools provides Puget Sound students with a global experience in personal philanthropy. We teach compassion, service, and social responsibility by partnering students in donor schools with children in need. In a powerfully personal way, our students learn that no matter who they are, what they look like, or how wealthy they are, they have the ability to change someone’s life.
On Thursday May 28th, the Fernwood Community raised over $3,000 to support Ugandan students and teachers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. We heard a poem, lots of great music – including original compositions – and some truly spectacular jokes from our emcees. You can catch a re-run of the concert anytime and make a donation until the end of June!
Let’s Celebrate! Join us on Saturday, September 28th as Sister Schools Celebrates 30! Our annual gala and auction is not to be missed. Festivities include stunning treasures from Uganda, delectable treats in our Dessert Dash, and a Wine Grab featuring specialty and high-end bottles. Gather with your friends, family, and colleagues to commemorate this special occasion.
In honor of Sister Schools’ 30th Anniversary, refresh your memory with the incredible story of how Terry and Melissa started our program! It all started with a chance to play soccer and a doll named Karen.
By volunteering in our warehouse, at an event, or on a committee, you are equipping children in both Uganda and the Puget Sound with education and compassion – a gift which will be multiplied many times over. Families, teenagers, and individuals of all abilities can take part in the Sister Schools program. We could not do this without you!
